Wholesome honey granola
As the weather cools down, it’s important to keep your body well-nourished. Here’s a granola recipe that will keep your body primed for the chilly season. The ingredients are designed to support your immune system, but still delight your tastebuds!
The key ingredients? Therapeutic Jarrah honey and bee pollen. Jarrah honey is truly food as medicine, thanks to its anti-bacterial properties. The medicinal honey has an incredible therapeutic activity (TA) of 30+, or MGO of 1600+. Bee pollen adds not only a tasty crunch, but also a boost of B vitamins, amino acids and natural enzymes.

☆. 1 cup almonds
☆. 1 cup pecans
☆. ½ cup pumpkin seeds
☆. ½ cup sunflower seeds
☆. 3 Tbsp coconut oil
☆. 1 tsp vanilla
☆. 1 tsp cinnamon
☆. 2 Tbsp Jarrah honey
☆. ¼ cup bee pollen
☆. ¼ cup chia seeds
Makes 7 serves
- Add the almonds to a food processor, and pulse until chopped. Add pecans, and repeat. Finally, add pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, and pulse. Place in a medium size bowl.
- Melt coconut oil. Stir vanilla, cinnamon and Jarrah into the oil, until well combined.
- Pour the coconut oil mixture over the nut and seed mix, and mix until everything is well coated.
- Spoon the granola mix over a dehydrator rack. Dehydrate on low/medium for at least one hour.
- Put granola mix, bee pollen and chia seeds into a bowl, and mix well. Store in an air-tight container in a cool cupboard.
- To serve, take ½ cup granola, and serve with hot or cold milk of choice. You can also mix it into some natural Greek yoghurt. A perfect way to start the day!
Note: It’s not advised to dehydrate using an oven, as these temperatures can damage the delicate nutrients in the honey.
