Getting to the Sydney October Festival

The October Festival is held in Exhibition Hall 3, Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park. Entrance to the Festival is located on Riverina Avenue. Purpose built for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, the venue has been designed to cope effortlessly with high volumes of visitors.

Getting there

Getting to the October Festival is easy, with Olympic Park train station just a minute’s walk from the venue, plus it’s easily accessible by car with plenty of on-site parking.

Parking options

The Sydney Olympic Park precinct offers ample secure parking options.

★ Street parking is limited, so we recommend parking in car parks P1 as highlighted on the parking map here.

★ A shuttle bus service will continually operate between P1 and the Exhibition Halls during Festival days.

★ Car parks can be pre-booked up-to 10 working days prior to the Festival.

Public transport options

Olympic Park train station is on Sydney Showground’s doorstep.

★ The Sprint service, operated by CityRail, travels between Lidcombe and Olympic Park Stations daily, every 10 minutes.

★ A limited number of direct services also operate between Central Station and Olympic Park Station.

★ Buses operate direct services to Sydney Olympic Park from several locations including Lidcombe, Strathfield and Parramatta.
